Deers are Dumb

One more week of PDP is over. This week was more bearable than the first because my body is getting used to waking up at 6:30 every morning and sitting in class all day. The week seemed to go by much quicker too. I visited Abby Traditional on wednesday and got to see how they do things over there. It was cool to see how well behaved the kids there are. They have a code of conduct that everyone follows so it's pretty easy for teachers to get their kids to listen and all the classes we visited seemed to have no need for classroom management. That was what I liked about the school, teachers could just focus on teaching instead of getting kids to listen. Unfortunately all the classes I observed, the teachers weren't really teaching because classes were working on projects or looking up things in their textbooks. But all in all it was a good visit and I wouldn't mind working in a school like that.

Last weekend I took some engagement pictures for a couple who I'm taking wedding pictures for on Dec 20th. Yes, that date is correct. I'm really happy with how they turned out and we had a good time, it wasn't hard to get good pictures of these two, they just naturally looked good.

A frustrating update on our car, which we still haven't got back and our accident happened on...when...August 23rd. Yeah, that's over a month ago. We just got called from the shop today saying they hadn't been given the go ahead from ICBC to fix our car so nothing has happened to it yet. This whole week we were assuming they had already started working on it because on Sept 17th we got an email from the ICBC lady saying that the car was repairable and that the shop had been notified by the adjuster. Turns out the dumb ICBC adjuster guy called the shop and told them to go ahead but then called back saying that he still wasn't ready to confirm for our car to be fixed and he hasn't called them back to say they can start. So let's just say we're sick of ICBC and we feel like they are ripping us off. The guy at the shop and the adjuster in SK both agreed that it wasn't even necessary to look further for hidden damages, which is what the BC adjuster wanted them to do a few weeks ago because he thought it was close to being totaled. But after they did that the cost of damages was actually decreased not increased. Getting that second inspection is what slowed down this whole process by taking two extra weeks to get it done. And now another two weeks is added on because of the adjuster being slow and not telling anyone what's happening. Advice for everyone, don't get in an accident outside of BC unless you want to go car-less for a month and a half.

Anyways, there's my little rant for the day. I'll get over it one of these days.
