Thankful for a fixed car

Time for a new look, how do you like it? Things have been busy around these parts and will probably start to get busier. Last weekend we headed over to Megan and Laurie's for a big potluck/karaoke bash and there ended up being about 30 people there, it was crazy. We also played a rousing game of Catch Phrase with about 20 people, it made for one very loud game. It was a good time, thanks guys!

This past week I got sick and even skipped a day of school because of it so it hasn't been a regular week. We went curling on tuesday night because we were going to join a league with eric, carmen, mike and sarah but after we got our lesson and found out that it was triple the amount of money that we had been told to join we decided not to do it. That was sort of a let down but we had fun trying it out. On friday Chris' parents brought our car back home! Yes, we have finally got our car back after almost 2 months of torture waiting and waiting and waiting. They came on the perfect weekend, the sun was shining the whole time. On friday we went out for supper and watched IronMan. On saturday we went for a long walk by the river and watched the billions of fishermen/women that were out. That day Chris also got his early birthday present from his parents, a snowboarding helmet and a 158 piece ratchet set that was on sale for $150 off. We also got our alarm and horn fixed up because they weren't working on our car but now it's all good to go. That night we spent a good couple hours watching a baseball game only to have it cut off at 10pm for sportscentre and we didn't get to see who won. Chris and his dad were pretty upset, Chris even emailed them to complain. He hasn't got an email back. Sunday we had church and watched a lot of football and then went to my parents for a huge thanksgiving meal. Today the 'rents left for a road trip through the States that we mapped out for them. Hopefully they don't hit any deer.

This week I'm in my first placement school. It's called Windebank Elementary and I'm in a Grade 6/7 class. It'll sort of be a weird week because we only go for two days to our placement school and observe and then I'm going to a kindergarten class in a different school on thursday and a high school on friday. Then the next week we're back with PDP for three days and then to our placement school for the end of that week. So we won't really get into much for another few weeks, these next few are just a mish-mash of things. I'm looking forward to actually getting in a class though. I hope it'll be a good experience. Well, I've got to watch more football so enjoy your Thanksgiving!
