Now that summer is almost over we're trying to get things out of the way before school starts like renewing car insurance, returning hiking boots in Vancouver (which is what we're doing today) and starting to paint the last couple rooms that we didn't touch the first time around (guest room and basement). We've had a great summer with lots of little trips and things to do. I'm not sure if I'm ready for it to end but I guess it's got to one of these days.

Saying Goodbye to Summer
The end of summer is coming soon but we have one more week to enjoy doing whatever we want. A few weeks ago we went camping for four days down in Washington at Fort Ebey State Park. It was a great little place right on the shoreline of Whidbey Island. We spent our days walking along the bluff, climbing down sandy cliffs to the beach, reading on a little spot with a view just a few feet from the cliffside and relaxing by the fire at our campsite. We also went to a drive-in movie theater for the first time and saw two not so great movies but had a fun experience watching from our car. One afternoon we also checked out a little town close to our campsite called Coupeville. We got some delicious ice cream and walked around checking out the views of Penn Cove. We'll definitely come back to this park again, it was a great place to relax and have some little adventures.
