This past weekend we headed to the Coquihalla area and hiked up Needle Peak. It was quite a push to get up the first part but then we were hiking along a ridge and got to do some fun scrambling over rocks to get to the peak. This was one of the best views I've see from a peak before. There were mountains surrounding us in every direction and it was a perfect temperature to sit on the peak and just take it all in. Definitely worth the effort to get to the top and one we will do again sometime.
As many of you know Chris has started up the outdoor program at his school with another teacher. He is really excited about this program and they were interviewed before the school year about it. If you didn't get a chance to read it here's a link to the article. It's going to be a busy year getting everything figured out with the program as far as planning and costs and how to teach while outside but it seems like they have a good idea of what they want to do and it'll be a great thing for the kids that are in it.
